Sweet seduction is all around us. Some of us hoard it, others collect it.  We use it for celebrations, rewards and gifts. In corner stores and supermarkets candy sits side-by-side at every counter tempting our taste buds and triggering our memories with fanciful colors and enticing names.

“About Candy” is a humorous mixed media series that goes beyond the come-hither packaging of our childhood American icons, unwrapping and rewrapping them to reveal their subliminal messages and double entendres. These rearrangements of hundreds of candy wrappers can have a lasting impact on our imagination dreams and values. Ah, the evocative power of candy.                   - Stephanie Jaffe Werner
