"Topiary"

Mosaic topiary sculpture is an eclectic name for an innovative cross- pollination of artistic mediums. The concept has roots in my experience in blown glass, ceramics, and mosaic murals. This background, and a passion for reassembling found objects into works of art, bloomed into these whimsical structures. A traditional topiary shape is embellished in handmade ceramic flowers embedded in the surface, resulting in a richly textured and colorful mosaic. The flowers were all formed out of very durable ceramic stoneware and are glazed to be in the outdoors. Best of all, no weeding or watering required!
