177 SQUARE FOOT MOSAIC “WALL OF WONDER,” CREATED BY 600 STUDENTS AND TWO MIAMI ARTISTS

On February 12, 2004 [Miami, FL] the Miami Country Day School, a private coeducational day college preparatory school, unveiled the Wall of Wonder, a large-scale public artwork created by mosaic artist Stephanie Jaffe Werner, art teacher Yvonne Moyer and nearly 600 students, ranging in age from junior kindergarteners through middle school. WOW, carefully pieced together by Werner and Moyer, depicts the flora and fauna of southern Florida – colorful fish, three-dimensional flowers, dancing butterflies, and elegant shore birds peacefully co-existing.
